Pete Gardini: Collage Artist
 |
I was born on April 15th, 1977, in New Hyde Park, NY, the son of
Peter and Roseanne Gardini. After moving around Long Island from place
to place in the 80s we moved to Santa Fe, NM in 1990. I had started
skateboarding a few months earlier which made it easy to make new
friends, most of which still remain close friends to this day.
In 1997, I moved to Boston to pursue my love affair with skateboarding.
I worked as a valet for 7 years and during that time (and kind of
by accident) I collaborated with friends Jahmal Williams, Ben Colen
and Sean Keanan in an Art Show entitled "Four"
at The Berwick Institute in Dorchester Mass.
In 2003 I showed a piece entitled 'Mass Confusion' at the
New Bedford Art Museum in a show called "From the
Ground Up": Art of the Skateboarding Culture which supposedly
was inspired by our first show. Jahmal, Ben and Sean were also featured
as well as many other talented skateboarding artists.
In October of 2005, I had the opportunity to show 11 pieces of my
work at the Reel Bar in Allston Mass. This week long solo
show was called "One Man".
Thanks to the success of those art shows I have sold many of my pieces.
If you are interested in buying a piece please feel free to contact
